Creative Opportunities for Teenagers

Theatre Hullabaloo has launched its Young Creatives programme, a fantastic opportunity for young people aged 13 - 19 to get involved with what we do in the Theatre for Young Audiences sector.

This November, Theatre Hullabaloo will be hosting the 25th TakeOff Festival of Theatre for Children and Young People in Durham. We will be taking a team of budding young writers to attend the festival and experience some of the best theatre from the UK and Europe.

Following a review writing masterclass with a journalist from the local press, our Young Creatives will be tasked with writing reviews about the shows they have seen, which will be posted on our Young Creatives' Blog. Whilst soaking up the festival alongside directors, producers, performers and artists from across the globe, the team will be able to tweet their thoughts to an interactive map and meet other young people from across the region that are passionate about the arts.

If you, or someone you know, is interested in joining Theatre Hullabaloo's Young Creatives team, please email Amy to apply.

Angel Shortlisted for Writers' Guild Awards 2012

We are delighted to announce that Angel, by Kevin Dyer, has been shortlisted for the "Best Play for Children and Young People" Writers' Guild Award 2012.

The winners will be announced on Wednesday November 14th at Tabernacle in Notting Hill. Unfortunately the Hullabaloo team will be busy with TakeOff Festival 2012, but we'll be watching from afar with all our fingers and toes crossed :-)
